On this page I'll include reviews of the shows I've seen and some that my friends have seen by this band, both recently and in years past. This band is awesome live! April 29,2000 The Coach House San Juan Capistrano, CA Let me start off by saying that it is nothing less then a miracle that I was at this show... let me explain. I had a chance to go see a friend in California on two different dates, one in which was the end of April and the other the end of July. Allison and myself decided we didn't want to wait till July to get together, we wanted to meet each other in April, so that is when I planned my trip. Planning this trip 2 months ahead, I thought what could make this trip more special then for John to be performing that weekend that I was out in Cali. Needless to say, I thought, "Yeah, You are really dreaming now!" But to my surprise, when John had his last chat, he announced The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano and then he said...April 29! My heart sank and I thought..OK did I just read that right!...YES YES, I did read that right!!! THANK YOU GOD! Now about the show... Before the show all of us who frequent TTP (Trust The Process) went to have a few drinks. Having been a fan of John for 19 years and had never had the honor of seeing him perform live (for reasons out of my control),I was pretty excited. We arrived at The Coach House and went to pick up the tickets. They opened the doors at 6 and we went in. We had a table upfront right against the stage! I thought this is great, still pretty calm about the whole thing. The first band came out, they were really good, They had that heavy grunge metal sound. The second band came out and they were really good, they had more of a rock sound then a heavy metal sound. I was getting a little anxious by this time, but still pretty calm. That is until Adriana said..."Penny, look up there behind the lighting guy". So of course I looked, and what to my eyes did I see? There I saw a mans form and those blond streaks, OH MY, It was The Bass God himself watching a little of the opening bands. At that moment I felt all the giddyness from 19 years rise to the surface. I was finally gonna get to see someone whos music has meant so much to me for so many years, and it still does, more so now then it did back then If that is possible). When John and the guys came out the fans went crazy,( I think you could have heard it all the way to the East Coast!) The lights were low and all you could really see were shadows...Sorta teasing. We all wanted to stand up but the people from the Coach House made us sit down. We were all like WHAT!, sit down and watch JT perform, were they crazy? Even so, that didn't stop us from dancing in our seats.(I still have a splinter to prove it!) John's voice was really incredible and his energy level was tremendous. The energy that came from the music was none less then Amazing. He really enjoys performing and you could tell(WE) his fans mean a lot to him. His smiles said it all! And when he knelt down to play for our table, That was the highlight that really made our night! John was in a playful mood ,and between songs someone yelled "JOHN"! and John walked up to his mic and yelled "WHAT"? Totally caught her off guard. Then shortly after, Rose threw a T-Shirt that had BASS GOD written on it. John proudly smiled and said something to the affect of "You bet I am". That was really cool. The set list went a little like this( not in this order): Dope, Rio, Such a good lover, Mr J ( and oh how that rocked) the opening course of Notorious ( which was a pleasent surprise)Some Like it Hot, Fields of Eden, Getting Intimate, New Religion, Bang a Gong(get it on),Run Together and I am sure I have missed a few. John and the guys thanked everyone for coming out to see the show and said goodnight and then went off stage. Then the screams and the pounding of feet rang throughout the place. After a few minutes John and the guys came back out on stage and the fans went wild again. I don't know if John said something to the guy that had told us to sit down earlier or not, but we were all up and dancing and no one was telling us to sit down this time. This is the way it should have been to begin with. Sadly the night was coming to an end, and soon that night would be just a memory, But one thing is for sure, It will be one that I will NEVER forget! I didn't have the honor of meeting John or Gerry ( maybe one day ), however I did get to meet Larry, John Amato and Tio. I have to say that these guys are great. Very down to earth and greatful to their fans, and it was an honor and pleasure to meet them. All in all, it was WELL worth the wait of 19 years that I had to wait, to see the one and only John Taylor live!

This pic was taken when John was knelt at our table playing......What a sight to remember! THE COTTON CLUB ATLANTA, GA NOV7,1998 REVIEW BY: PAM GARDNER We finally arrived in Atlanta after 4pm and cruised down Peachtree to find the club. It brought back alot of memories! We passed by the Fox Theater where we saw Duran in Jan '89! After locating the club, we hung out with some other friends for a while untill it was time to go back to the club and pick up another friend that came down from Greenvill. The doors didn't open til 9:00pm so we checked into the hotel and grabbed a bite to eat. We arrived back at the club and finally found a parking space. By then it was already 8:30. There was already a huge line that wrapped around all the way down the side of the building and down into the parking lot! I was stressing because I wanted to get back up front for great photo shots. That wasn't as big of a problem as I had thought it would be. We got right up to the stage. The time went by really quickly and it was 11:30 before we knew it. This was the best show out of all three that we saw. JT was so full of energy, and very talkative! It was the best! The energy of the place was full force and the power of the music was amazing! I got some incredible photos and even ended up with a copy of the set list! By the time we had gotten home the next afternoon, we had driven 2400 miles in 10 days. We were overwhelmed, overjoyed but glad to be home. It was definitely an experience that I will never forget! I loved every minute of it and would do it again! It felt so great to see JT up close and personal. That was something I never thought I would be able to do after being a fan for over 17 years! It was wonderful! John was so happy, and to see that smile and know that it was genuine, was worth every mile I drove! All I have left to say is that Feelings ARE Good!!!
